So,
One week in and things are all on track.
No misses in any targets, down 5 lb (probably to fast) and fatigue is kicking in. Have not been pushing hard so it is not over training, just body rejecting a change in lifestyle......
The baby is sick and I don't know if it is just in my head or if I am getting a bit under the weather as well. Need to keep up on fluids, ext in order to make sure I don't succumb.
If not feeling better by end of the week will start vitamin regime, may just be a placebo, but wwhy not?

Training Nutrition
In conjunction with the pure calorie deficit of 1000 + and going to try and accomplish a few things including:
Consistent Meal Planning:
- Breakfast of 300 - 600 Calories, whole grains and milk with fruit or a smoothie depending on time and tastes. When travelling, find fruit options whenever possible.
- Lunch 300 - 800 Calories- Balanced meals, go for left overs first and can of soup if not available.
- Dinner - 500 - 1000 As per Cook Smart Menu. Single portion meals unless way under deficit due to workouts.
- Snacks - Fruit and Vegetables or Feed Zone Portables are acceptable if within Caloric daily ranges
Water Consumption
- This need to come before any other beverage consumption, need to get back into habit of drinking pure water. Aim to consume 3 litres per day + workout needs. 3 litres is approximately equal to 1 bottle per daily quadrant.
Workout Nutrition
- Need to get more scientific about this, am going to start following feed zone portables. For short workouts only need to worry about water / salt depletion. if Caloric output is anticipated to be under glycemic stores (1500 calories) only need water or Scratch Mix.
- Anticipate a sweat rate of approximately 1 litre per hour, for any additional hours of workout need to add another litre of water per hour of workout to consumption requirements.
For Workouts over 1500 Calories:
Anticipate at Zone 2 effort in room temp or under conditions a caloric output of 750 / hour and 1 litre of water per hour, only anticipate food during workout for workouts over 2 hours and a caloric target of 500 cal / each additional hour over 2 hours. Anticipating 160 cal / hour from drink, following chart should map out consumption for remaining workouts:

The Night Before
December 31, a whole new fresh year in front of me and no chance to screw it up yet. Love this time of year. Feeling much more prepared for it that I have been in the past when gearing up for an intense season. Here is where the head is at:
Session 1 - Prep Phase is a continuation of basically what I have been doing for the past month or so. Goal is to get consistent training in with a couple of fun events along the way, no race goals or targets, but targets with regards to eating, weight, and workout completion.
Goal 1 - 95% workout completion. - Should be easy as the workouts I have planned are prep phase and Tiff is comfortable with the schedule. 6 weeks of Prep followed by a rest and test week will bring me through to February 15. There are 79 Workouts planned for this time frame and I want to complete a minimum of 75 of the 79 workouts.
Goal 2 - Weight down to 180 by end of session 1. Will maintain a 1000 cal per day deficit until end of the phase or until weight is down to season (75 - 77 KG). Do not anticipate getting to season weight by end of session 1 but expect to hit 180 lb or approximately 80 KG
Goal 3 - Nutrition - Going hard core for Session 1, mostly to accomplish goal no 2, so......
- No Alcohol
- No Candy / Junk Food
- No Burgers / Pizza / Fast Food
- No Ice Cream
- No Soda
- Limit Aspartame / Fake Sugar
Goal 4 - Not specifically training related but a goal none the less is to start being more frugal, baring damage or loss of any training gear, no purchase of any kind until end of session 1.
